1. The first thing you should do, and this should be at the top of your list and is to find the Blackjack game offering the lowest house edge, this this means you will be getting a sporting chance of a winning session and also you will be getting the maximum value out of your game.

2. Next you should get yourself a Blackjack strategy card, these are invaluable to the novice player as they will show you every move to make whatever cards you or the Dealer maybe holding.

3. Once you have done the above you need to find a Blackjack table and put your wager onto it, many people split their gaming budget into 20 and use that as their stake level, as by doing so you should have a reasonably long session, that's if the cards are falling your way!

4. After placing your bet onto the Blackjack table you will then be dealt two cards, these are what you will be basing your game play on for that hand.

5. Should you choose to Hit your hand the Dealer will then deal you another card free of charge in the hope it will get you closer to twenty one.

6. Occasionally the game rules permit you double and you decide too then you are buying an additional card for the same stake as your initial wager, basically you are doubling your bet.

7. If the dealer is showing an Ace then you may be offered Insurance, this is a sucker bet and should never be taken.

8. If you are happy with your hand you can stick/stand, the dealer will not deal you any further cards and will play out his or her hand.
